Finance and Innovation: a possible alliance
The PPI (Public-Private Initiative) model as a possible solution to the funding needs of innovative and high-tech enterprises.
It is common knowledge that the innovative and high-tech enterprises, start-ups but not only, often encounter difficulties in finding sources to finance their growth because of their riskiness, of the intangibility of their assets, the difficulties that non-specialists encounter in understanding their products and markets, and often the return on investment that is realized in a period longer than the typical venture capital funds industry.
The conference will present the PPI (Public-Private Initiative) model as a solution to these difficulties and, in order to illustrate its effectiveness, some international success stories will be illustrated, including the British case and the Italian case, which also boasts good examples of application of this model, first of all by Finlombarda, the regional financial institution of Lombardy district.
The final session of questions and answers will allow a debate with the audience in the hall.
